Groom in wheelchair breaks down in tears the moment he sees his bride walk down the aisle

A man in Canada said that he is usually not an emotional person; however, on his wedding day, he broke down the moment his bride walked down the aisle … and the reason behind his tears is a heartwarming one.

A few months ago when Justin Boisvert, from Hamilton, Ontario, saw his 27-year-old bride, Sabrina Raposo, on their wedding day, he couldn’t control his tears.

“When I saw Sabrina walking down the aisle, I couldn’t help myself,” the 30-year-old, told SWNS. “She took my breath away.”

The couple first met in 2007 on a dating website and started talking and texting each other. When Raposo asked Boisvert if he wanted to meet, he was hesitant about telling Raposo that he was confined to a wheelchair due to cerebral palsy.

Instead of ignoring him like other girls would, Raposo replied, “That’s fine, you’re still human right?”

They became a couple sometime after hanging out. Since then, they have been through a lot of sweet moments, and also a lot of hardships. The couple also have their fair share of fights but have always made up and “stuck by each other’s sides.”

Raposo received a lot of criticism from those around her when she started dating Boisvert.

“They just didn’t understand my circumstances and tried to convince her that there would be no future with me,” Boisvert told Love What Matters. “She refused. She fought them and told them that I am a man like any other and she would not love me any less just because I can’t walk. Everyone deserves love and respect and she showed them that. She opened up their eyes and hearts and made them see me; just Justin.”

Boisvert is full of praise for Raposo’s personality because “she loves and respects everyone for who they are and doesn’t judge anyone.”

But how did Raposo actually feel when she heard of Boisvert’s condition?

She said that she was initially taken aback but wanted to give their relationship a chance. She added that those who had questioned her decision changed their opinion after getting to know Boisvert.

“At the end of the day he was still human and a guy who I seemed to have a connection with,” she said.

The couple tied the knot in front of 150 guests in April.
